Biography

Martin qualified from King’s College London in 1990, working in London and Kent before moving to Yorkshire. He undertook a further 3 years study, culminating in a Master of Science degree in Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics in 2013. Martin is also a certified provider of Invisalign clear aligner therapy.

Martin is able to provide general and cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign treatment, facial wrinkle and skin filler treatments. Martin has an interest in providing and maintaining long term improvements in the oral health of all his patients, especially those with dental anxiety or phobia. Intravenous sedation is offered to those where anxiety or phobia may otherwise be a barrier to them seeking treatment.

Martin enjoys playing league badminton, the occasional round of golf, and spending time with his family and two rescue greyhounds.

James qualified as a Dentist from Newcastle University and joined Lawnswood in 2017. His aim is to provide the highest quality of patient care, achieving the desired results with minimal intervention required whilst being in a relaxing environment. Emphasis is placed not only on the clinical treatment, but the entire patient journey. James ensures there is ample time for any discussion or questions that arise and shall be informative on all available treatment options.

He is a certified Invisalign provider, creating beautiful smiles in a conservative manner, and is currently completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, he has a particular interest in travelling, tennis, skiing and surfing, as well as spending time with friends and family.

Nicole qualified as a dentist from the University of Leeds in 2022. She also has a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Liverpool which she achieved in 2017.

Nicole is a general dentist with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, regularly undertaking cosmetic courses to continue her clinical development. She likes to allow ample time for appointments to ensure patients feel listened to, cared for and treated appropriately. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys going to the gym, playing padel tennis and travelling with her partner.

Emily qualified from the University of Leeds as a Dental Hygienist in 2014. Since then she has worked in private practice in North Yorkshire and joined Lawnswood Dental Care in 2021.

Emily is passionate about treating periodontal disease, and in supporting patients to improve and maintain their oral health.

Outside of work Emily has a young family, and enjoys walking, baking and nature.

Jo joined LDC in 2009 as a Dental Nurse/Receptionist. Jo has over 20 years experience in all aspects of dental nursing but especially in dealing and understanding anxious and phobic patients. Jo’s interests outside of work are horses, and socialising with friends.
