The laboratory then constructs a tray which closely fits the shape of your teeth.

After the tray is made, you will be asked to come back to have the tray fitted and receive instructions on how to use the appliance and the whitening kit. The bleaching kit you are given includes a whitening toothpaste to be used in conjunction with the bleaching gel.
You can expect to see a significant improvement in the colour of your teeth after 7 days of use.

Though bleaching causes a permanent colour change to the teeth, your lifestyle may affect how long this colour change lasts for. Things which may affect the longevity of teeth whitening include smoking, tea, coffee, red wine and some foods. You may wish to top the bleaching up every couple of years.
